Comments[85]: Just saw a traveling show here in Newbury Park, and was amazed and impressed at the cars and tip top shape they were all in. How fun! I belong to a HOG group (Harley Owener Group) and we also have a similar passion but nothing like what you guys are doing. Love the show Gerry Lieberman

Comments[84]: Cool web site! I am in the Wichita A's Model A club with Tom Ruggles, and have been to his house to see his 1909 E. M. F. 5 passenger touring, as well as his unrestored Studebaker-EMF touring. He also owns 3 Model A's. These are great cars, and I wish I owned one too!

Comments[81]: I have recently found a door that I am trying to find out what it goes to. I bought out an old country store that was known to operate in the late 1800's. There is a wooden door - the door has a thicker inner piece of wood with thinner pieces of wood on each side. There is a window in the door that is in very good condition and a latch and brackets that hold it to the vehicle. There is a screw type thing at the top of the door I believe to hold the window up. The window goes up and down in the track and has a leather strap on it. There are numbers on the brackets and there is a partial sticker on the door that reads Hackney Bros, Inc., Wilson, Nc - I see you know alot about older vehicles, can you help me identify this one. Thank you, Lori Burgess, Conway, NC

Comments[76]: The wheels on my 1917 Stanley are supposed to be "Stanweld" but they don't look anything like your pictures. They have a solid ring with a diagonal split rim. I got very tired of pushing the car around on flat tires, thought replacing them with new would be a nice Sat. afternoon job - took about 6 months. You have a very interesting site., Thanks, John buscher

Comments[75]: I have an old photo of one of those old touring cars. You can view it at the following URL on my website at OkieLegacy.org - Old Touring Car. I think it was possibly before 1910, because Alva, Oklahoma didn't start paving their streets until 1910 and the street in the photo is dirt. There is information typed on the photo. It is a righthanded steering like in your old car pictures.

I currently work in what used to be his home, now a nursing home and am interested in learning more about him and the building in which now I work. I enjoyed your site and am learning a little more every day. Thank You

Comments[71]: I have a brass eagle with the words "Foss Hughes Company" on the front of the base. The eagle is about 6" high. I cannot locate the make or model of car this came from. I thought I would ask if you do. There is a bolt attached to the base that makes me believe it could have been a hood ornament. Thanks, Cyndy Henry
