This photo appeared on the AACA discussion forum with the owner, Ben Holt, looking for an ID on the car. We identified it as a 1910 E-M-F. Ben says of the photo: "This is a photo of Jacob Siegelman and his wife, with his relatives (including my grandmother) in his 1910 E-M-F Touring Car outside the Murphy house in Eldorado, Illinois." Thanks for Ben for allowing it to appear here. Posted 2006-11-08 - 140 |

This picture was sent to me by Bill Sterling in hope that he could track down the current where-about. I do not have this car listed in the E-M-F Registry DB, but there are many cars in the DB that do not have serial number info. If you know of the where abouts of this car, Please let me know and I will get you in touch with Bill. The car is serial number 14372. He says of the car: "The car belonged to my great uncle. Note that the number on the license plate is the same as that of the registration. To your knowledge, is the car shown in the attachments still in existence (listed in your database)?" CLICK HERE for a picture of the original registration |

The Fourth Annual Midsummer Automobile Tour of the Royal Templars of Manitoba occupied 72 days in June, July and August of 1911. It covered over 3000 miles and entered every electoral district an included 232 public meetings. In addition to local helpers, no less than 56 speakers and singers took a turn in the auto. The photograph shows Albert Stewart and W.W. Buchanan in the front seat. In the back seat, from left to right, are C.F. Czerwinski, Grand Councilor; Rev. Andrew Moffatt and Herman Telke, Grand Trustee. This image was on a period post card. Notice the front doors. Very interesting. Front doors were a 1911 Feature, but this cars rear fenders are more in style with the 1910 models. Posted 2010-12-26 - 160 |

This photo of a 1910 E-M-F 5-Passenger Touring was submitted by Jim Loos. He says of the picture: The driver is Chester W. Clow, of Backoo, N. D., and I think the photo was taken there in 1910 or 1911. His daughter, Maurine, is in his lap; she was born in 1908 and appears to be 2-3 years of age. The woman seated in the middle of the back seat is Chester’s wife, my great aunt Ellen Terrill Clow. The other three women are probably Chester’s relatives, but I do not know the exact relationship. Chester was a banker. Around 1916 he and his family moved a few miles from the hamlet of Backoo to the town of Cavalier, ND (county seat of Pembina County), where he remained in the banking business until he retired in 1941. Thanks to Jim for allowing it to appear here. |

These gentlemen do not seem to mind waiting in their 1910 E-M-F. I imagine that the are waiting for their wives to get ready to go. "Just a few more minutes dear!"
I placed this image here due to the shape of the rear fenders, which appear to be straight instead of raised like on the 1909s.
NOTE: the lack of spring bumpers on the front axle. |

This picture demonstrates the impressive hill climbing abilities of the E-M-F 30 automobile. Easily able to pull these three gentlemen up this steep hill. Posted 2019-10-31 - 165 |

Al Donz allows this photo to appear here of this 1910 EMF Model 30 5-Passenger touring.
"This picture is of my grandmother, her sister, their father, aunt, and grandmother. So in this picture I have my great-great-grandmother and my great grandfather. All that is pretty cool plus a neat old car.
I live in Ohio, so I researched the license plate number at the state archives. I found the original registration showing the make, model, and serial number. The car was registered to my Gg-grandmother! A woman owned car in 1911! The picture was taken in Cleveland." |
