Thank you for this site. I'm a bit of a car buff, but more so on models from the 50's forward. I could not resist reading about EMF, and was actually hoping to see a picture of the Everitt (for obvious reasons). Thanks again, and I will be visiting your site again.

I cannot believe it! I was looking for information on the EMF Auto and I find that it was part of Studebaker. My father had the first garage in Lincoln County, MN and he sold Studebakers. He also used an auto for a business logo on his stationery and I have now found out it was a 1911 Fore Door Touring that you show. A car club that I contacted said it was not a real car--but today I find that it is. Thanks Thanks Thanks. YOU MADE MY DAYs!

Saw one last night. 1908 touring. Never heard of an EMF. Guy was driving all over. Don't know if he is from here because I've never seen it before and I take in most of the car shows.

My Dear Friend, Let me inform you, I got your email address from a mail Directory and decided to mail you for a permission to go ahead. I am Mrs. William Linda from United Kingdom, married to Dr. Harry R.William who worked with Texaco Oil Company in Malaysia before he died in a ghastly motor accident on his way to a board meeting. My husband and I were married but without any child. Since his death, I decided not to re-marry and presently I am 69 Years old. When my late husband was Alive he deposited the sum of $10.M. (Ten Million U.S. Dollars) with a Bank. Presently, this money is still with the Bank and the management just wrote me as the beneficiary to come forward to receive the money or rather issue a letter of authority to somebody to receive it on my behalf. I am presently in a hospital where I have been undergoing treatment for Cancer of the lungs. I have since lost my ability to talk and my doctors have told me that I have only a few months to live. So I think the best thing to do is to use the money for charity purposes. I want a person who has the fear of God and trustworthy, whom I can make the beneficiary of my late husband's fund deposited with the bank, so that the person can get the money and utilize 70% of this money to fund churches, orphanages and widows around the world. As soon as I receive your reply I shall give you the contact details of the bank. I will also issue you a letter of authority that will prove you as the new beneficiary of this fund. Please assure me that you will act accordingly as stated herein and keep this contact confidential till such a time this fund gets to your custody. This is to ensure that nothing jeopardizes my last wish on Earth. Please contact me on this email or I await your urgent reply. Regards, Mrs.William Linda

At a garage sale this weekend I bought some copies of the Studebaker Drivers' Club magazine. The March 1997 issue contained a long, illustrated article on Studebaker plants, including those on Piquette Avenue. I'm happy to find more pictures on your site. Thanks.

The following was written by my Mother who was born in 1902. One day our father said he was going to Jennings on business. He took someone with him and when he came home he was driving a nice new E.M.F. automobile and the other person drove his horses home. I was probably eight years old and that car looked magnificent. It was one of the first cars in the area. It was all open and with our dusty roads it became a problem so Mother got a bolt of linen cloth and made each of us girls and herself a “duster” that we could take off when we got to where we were going. We did love to ride in our car. It had to be started and warmed up quite a while before we could go anywhere. The lights were acetylene (carbide). We were spending Sunday afternoon at some friends home and they had a goat. When we got ready to go home we found the goat had chewed some of the rubber tubes going to the lights so we had no lights. That meant 12 overnight guests.
